Midtown 616

Say hello to the new band Midtown 616.  Although we are in the very early stages of setting the band up, we are very excited about all of the new possibilities.  The band will feature three horn players including myself.  Rosshan Monroe will be Tenor Saxophone, Jeremy Wall on Trombone and I will be on Alto Saxophone.  We plan on playing a variety of music.  Stay tuned!

Gustavo and The Universe is reaching out... We are on a streak!

As I mentioned before, I recently joined Gustavo and the Universe.  We had a great show at the National Latino Family Expo with the help of the Casineros (a dance group).  We have new shows coming up as a result of this show.  We will be opening up for Milton Cortez at Tutto Benne THIS SATURDAY!  YES!!!  So clear you calendar and get ready for a show.

I will be sending out an event update soon with all of the details.

New Band and new gigs coming up!

I've recently joined a local DC Salsa band, Gustavo and the Universe.  The music is great, and it's been a while since I've played in a horn section.  There are some shows in the works and music video as well as new recordings.  Check back for show dates and info.

Bourne of Ash also rocked the show at the Jaxx!!! We had a great reception, and definately looking for more opportunities to play some shows.  New music is also being recorded.

Amazing Night!

I had the honor and pleasure of sitting in with the Gallego brothers and their band Australis at Madam's Organ.  They are so talented and amazing!  Their music is almost a mix of classical, spanish/flamenco, gypsy jazz and a little bit pop.  If you haven't heard of them, definately check them out!

Also, the best part of tonight was opening up for the only Bobby Parker.   If your asking who?  Take a look at this clip from the Ed Sullivan Show where he is performing with Bo…Read more

It was lots of fun to see some old friends like Jack and Dave.  I had a lovely time jamming and met some talented musicians like Andres.  I did miss however the company of Wilsen Rivera (Bass Player from Bourne of Ash).

Thank you to Jeremy for everything on my B_DAY weekend! The Shakespeare play was great!

Gearing up for a Photo Shoot and Practice

Just played an awesome show with Doug Parks and the Lonewolves last night at a Private Party.  It was a long day of playing with lots of fun, great people and an expensive fireworks display.
